Our Business Members make an authentic commitment to taking climate action, with a willingness to take the following steps (if the business hasn’t already done so):
Publicly share your declaration of the climate, ecological and social emergency and your membership to Business Declares (once it has been approved by our onboarding panel).
Set real net zero targets that are in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative framework, for all emissions.
Consider and implement a strategy for how your business will address the biodiversity/ecological crisis as part of its broader declaration and action.
Create, publish and implement a Climate Transition Plan explaining what actions will be taken toward achieving net zero targets and biodiversity improvements (within 6 months of joining if a plan is not already in place).
Support Business Declares' advocacy efforts, by engaging with Business Declares' network.
