Better Business Summit

  • Manchester Met University Business School Oxford Road Manchester, M15 6BH United Kingdom (map)

The Better Business Summit, the annual flagship conference by the Better Business Network, is a community for like-minded business leaders that want to create positive action.

Business Declares are excited to be speaking at the Better Business Summit - we will be questioning why we are not talking about the elephant in the room, and what REALLY can business do to solve the massive challenges such as Biodiversity Loss.

Join our very own Ben Tolhurst and Samantha Cooper at the Better Business Summit, for an urgent, thought-provoking talk on the Business Declares Manifesto - a call to action for businesses navigating the complexities of the polycrisis. As we face escalating global risks, including the climate crisis, and social inequality, this Manifesto lays out a renewed set of commitments for businesses to embrace as part of the solution, not the problem.

Find us at the ‘Horizons’ Stage, at 11am on 16th January!

Grab tickets now to hear from Business Declares, alongside incredible experts from organisations and brands at the forefront of impact, including TOMS, 1% for the Planet, Re-Action Collective and Living Wage Foundation.

Use code SPEAKER20 for 20% off all ticket types.

  • The theme for this year’s annual flagship conference is “Future Proof” and the whole conference we’ll be asking the question:

“What does your business need to truly be future proof?”

A diverse range of subjects fit into the main theme of 2025, but there will be a particular emphasis on Food, Fashion and the Future of Business. View all currently announced speakers on the Better Business website here.

  • The Summit will take place across three days:

Two days at Manchester Met University, discussing innovative new ideas and approaches, and how we can create systemic change through collective action, education and support across four lecture halls, networking sessions and exhibition places.

The BBS have also decided to make the decision to ban panels this year, focussing instead on formats which help get the room involved and engaged, with more opportunities for Q&A, sharing stories and networking being key to being part of the solution, with: Deep Dives and Keynotes | Actionable Workshops | Catalyst Conversations | Fireside Chats (and longer Q&As)

The third day will take attendees into Nature to reflect and connect with each other and the world we are working on making better.
