Blueprint for climate activism policy
We recognise that there is an increasing desire from employees to participate in different forms of climate activism, but at the same time they have concerns about how their employers will react. We also acknowledge that employers are increasingly recognising that they need to clarify their stance on this topic.
Through discussions and collaborations with a number of organisations, Business Declares is proposing a blueprint for the basis of an employer’s NVDA (non-violent direct action) policy for climate protest, where employees undertake climate protest in an individual (not a company) capacity.
Organisations can download this document and adapt the policy to their own unique requirements. Please note that this document in no way constitutes legal advice and each company should do their own due diligence and adapt the policy to their own unique requirements.
